Today my friends and I took a long drive north of the city to a cool location called the Badlands. It was absolutely PERFECT for gurren lagann - looks just like the surface in the anime! There were a lot of families there because it was a holiday, so we got a LOT of weird looks and people taking pictures from far away, but.. oh well! I had a lot of fun.
Yoko's been a dream cosplay of mine for YEARS, and it was lack of confidence that stopped me from ever cosplaying her. But after encouragement and help from my boyfriend, I finally had the balls to wear her to a convention, and i'm really happy I did! <3 I've still got a LOT of work to do on this costume and plan to remake basically all of it, but I honestly love Yoko & Gurren Lagann so much I wanted to go do this photoshoot while the weather was still good.

Stunning! Never heard of the Badlands, but it sure does resemble what I've seen of "The Surface" when i watched Episode 1 to see what all the fuss was about. You make a superb Yoko, too. Like almost all of them, hotter than the original. The composition here is perfect too, with that pose, location, angle and all.
